Out of all of the former presidential candidates in both parties, who ran the very worst campaign/strategy?

i'm going with hillary on this one. her strategy of bending herself into whatever shape fit the contituency on the spot was doomed to fail from the word go, plus it gave us insight that she thinks the average american is not intelligent enough to understand how phony and patronizing her campaign was. yes, others made bonehead decisions as well, but at least there was genuine character behind the bad decisions, not play-doh molds.
