Should ministers splurge?

I don't think you have to be a believer nor a humanist to sense that there's something wrong with spending outrageous amounts of money in the name of materialism. It's doubly disgusting that people of faith do it b/c it's hypocritical (I know Jesus and Mohammed preached against acquiring 'things of this world'; idk about other religions); at least when an atheist does it, there's nothing in his/her belief system to say that it's wrong.
