What is the connotation of the word "jaded"?

I'm writing an essay and, in one paragraph, I want to express my sense of disillusionment and cynicism. I want to use the word "jaded", but I'm not sure about its connotation. I'm only 16; I don't know if this word is too deep to describe my feeling. Can I, at such a tender age, feel "jaded", or is it a more profound, permanent emotion?
