Help!!! advice needed?

My bf broke up with me the thing is he gave my # to his cuz's bf and the guy started txting me .. he (cuz's bf) told me eventually that my ex grabbed his during one of their drinking spree and that he was told by the other cousins that my ex is gay.. i never knew about it no one told me..and that my ex was like using me and was just asking for some money to me.. i dont know if its true .. my ex of course denied allegations.. but one of his cuz told me that he also think my ex is gay.. shld i believe all this? my ex and i still communicate and he is somewhat trying to get back... ihave doubts of his real intentions but still love him... advice please
